Cultivating our History, Passion and Pride

A group celebrated for its vibrant sound, traditional core, and restored focus on the traditions of mariachi.

Established in 2010 by former and current students of local schools in the Las Vegas Valley. Mariachi Mexico Antiguo is comprised of dedicated and talented musicians. As ambassadors of the mariachi genre, Mariachi Mexico Antiguo has performed by invitation throughout the Western United States and New England. Mariachi Mexico Antiguo has also worked with renowned artists such as, Beatriz Adriana, Graciela Beltran, Gildardo Alvarez, Jesus "Chuy" Guzman, Juan Valentin, and in 2015, Placido Domingo. Mariachi Mexico Antiguo has been called "a group that captivates audiences with its distinct interpretation of mariachi music." 

In August of 2016, Mariachi Mexico Antiguo moved permanently to Connecticut.

Since arriving to Connecticut in 2016,

Mariachi Mexico Antiguo has performed at the International Arts & Ideas Festival in New Haven, the Daffodil Festival in Meriden, Celebrate Wallingford, 2016 and 2017 Musical Explorers at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts, the Autorino Center for the Arts, at the Connecticut Historical Society in Hartford, at the Roman Catholic Archbishop's Latin Festival Mass and for other various cultural events in primary and secondary schools as well as colleges and universities throughout the New England area. 

on December 14th of 2017, Mariachi Mexico Antiguo was awarded by the Mexican Music Awards as the "Best Mariachi in the Tri-State Area."

On February 23rd of 2018, Mariachi Mexico Antiguo was awarded by Premios Latinos Fama as the "Best Mariachi of the Year."
